D3 Publisher is turning up the heat in their marketing push for the upcoming third-person bug blaster, Earth Defese Force: Insect Armageddon. Over on the US PlayStation blog, D3's senior producer Brian Etheridge has announced a couple of pre-order incentives for the game.

Those who pre-order the game from GameStop will be treated to the "Pounds of Pain" downloadable content pack that contains 15 new and different weapons. In the video below, you'll see one of them -- the Grmhegern Spitzer B for the EDF's new Battle Armor. The Trooper Armor also gets additions to its own arsenal one of which is the RLF-17 Floorboard Rocket Launcher.

Pre-ordering the game from Best Buy, on the other hand, will net gamers the "Death From ABove" DLC pack that has 15 new weapons made mostly for use with the Jet Armor. The video below shows some of them, including the electric flamethrower-like Neptanzer QH Proto and the highly accurate Wallagis 1776L heat-seeking missile launcher.

The pre-order incentives aren't showing up on GameStop's Xbox 360 listing yet, so they could be exclusive to the PS3. It's worth noting, however, that the word "exclusive" wasn't mentioned in Etheridge's blog post or in the videos.
