It has been confirmed that the community-focused games expo known as PAX will be heading to Melbourne, Australia in 2013 and 2014. Speaking on the matter, PAX Pres Robert Khoo said, "Melbourne has a long history of supporting the games scene, through showcasing cultural game exhibits to supporting world-renowned game developers. Holding PAX Australia in Melbourne is the perfect fit for our show."
Louise Asher, Victoria's Minister for Innovation, added, "It is a great opportunity to showcase games culture in Australia to the rest of the world, and the exposure around the region and the world that Melbourne's game industry will gain from the event, and the number of international and domestic visitors that will be drawn to Melbourne, cannot be underestimated."
PAX Australia will take place next year from July 19th to July 21st. Registration has already started and you can get a 3-day pass for $115 or a 1-day pass for $45.
