People around the industry have been waiting with baited breath for news regarding Grand Theft Auto V. While we know the game is in development, Rockstar Games has been pretty tight-lipped about essentially everything else. Speculation had reached a fever pitch with E3 coming up next week, but it looks like fans will be waiting just a little bit longer for the big reveal.

According to Rockstar, its executives and development crew will not be present at E3 in any “official” capacity. In other words, they may be roaming about to check out other people’s stuff, but the studio won’t be presenting any new games, trailers or media during the gaming conference. Of course, it’s worth noting that Rockstar rarely unveils its games at E3 anyway, opting instead to host its own media events.

This is tough news for fans anticipating that Rockstar would buck its normal behavior and pull of a surprise announcement at E3. At the moment, it’s unclear as to when more information about GTA V will be available.
