No Single Player DLC for Uncharted 3 |
Listed in: News Tags: Naughty Dog, ps3, Sony, uncharted, uncharted 3

Naughty Dog has been pretty strict about what goes through their big gaming machine awesome. Remember these are the guys who made Crash Bandicoot before Universal picked up the fuzz ball and ran to the endzone and turned him into some weird malformed mascot with a voice. The 90 man team, yes, 90, has been thinking of DLC, but it does not look good for them.
Naughty Dog's Dircoter Justin Richmond has said in an interview with Eurogamer that whilst the game has been fun to make, it's just not time or cost effective for the development team. "We're so small that we can't afford to have a whole team working on DLC", it's good to see the small development team to have uninsane ideas. "We'd much rather be working on the next game, producing the game quickly and having people play another adventure.", whilst this could be resolved with having another team making DLC, it wouldn't feel right without the right team working on it. That's 90 people compared to the people who work on Call of Duty, which reaches almost 500 people.
Specific work needs to be done on the marketing if Uncharted 3 is gonna be the big seller for Sony this year. It has been a bit of an issue with Sony games this year, of course, when a lot of your money is going to security, protecting your users and ridiculously awesome ads, the new money has gotta go somewhere else.
The game will be out in November and I really look forward to what crazy adventures it brings.

Even if its a 2+ years wait.
whereas online map-packs/skins don't have to follow the story at all and can easily be integrated and tested to perfection relatively easy compared to single player missions.
