It's been a while since we've heard a peep out of Sorcery besides a release date announcement, and now we get a full-blown trailer that explains a bit of the story and characters you'll be encountering. While it's never good and pretty damn trite to start a trailer for a movie or video game with "In a world..." this trailer has its tongue firmly in cheek throughout, for better or worse.

You'll be playing an apprentice named Finn who serves an old wizard named Dash, and a talking cat with a ridiculous tail will be accompanying you everywhere. You'll be facing off against the Nightmare Queen and a bevy of monsters like giant spiders, trolls, and bogies - whatever the hell that is.

Sorcery utilizes the Move peripheral, so get ready to dust it off come May 22nd in the US and May 23rd in Europe, if you care. Most peripheral games are pretty lame, but the way this one translates the Move into Finn's wand may be worth looking into.
