Codename: Unofficial has released a new version of the Rebug firmware that will give more experienced custom firmware users the ability to experiment with some rather advanced mechanisms that were once unavailable to DEX firmwares.

Sprung from a previous release of Rebug 3.55.2 firmware this particular iteration offers developers all of the features included within that framework, with the addition of a new set of tools known as ProDG. In case you are unaware of what ProDG can do for you, the system's website lists many important features such as "viewing source code, the dis-assembly, memory, registers, variables, processes/threads," and a slew of other fixes that could be of use when developing programs. Complete with a full pane GUI with which to shuffle through such options, with ProDG there are a whole mess of new possibilities if you are indeed a part of this sector of the scene.
It should be said that as with all custom firmwares, any PS3 user that expects to take advantage of this should be running a custom version of the 3.55 firmware. This tweak won't be available for official firmware users at any time. Also because these programs can be quite intricate, development firmware is only encouraged for the most advanced users. If you fit all of those qualifications, there is no reason you shouldn't be taking the time to see what ProDG can do for you!
