New MW3 Game Modes Out Today |

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 gets 3 new game modes today: Hardcore Ricochet, Hardcore HQ Ricochet, and Drop Zone. Well, Drop Zone isn't out yet, but it will appear sometime this weekend. It was announced on on the official COD community forum by Robert Bowling, and he also stated that the developers would be inserting private modes via Community Playlists into public rotation, saying that would be where they'd add "popular or unique private match modes to public playlists."
Here are some quick descriptions of the new modes:
Hardcore Ricochet: As a result of team killing, all Hardcore modes will be converted to a Ricochet variant. In other words, you hurt yourself by shooting a team mate.
Hardcore HQ Ricochet: Hardcore Headquarters will be added to the Hardcore Team Tactical playlist.
Drop Zone: Teams have to get to the drop zone to earn points, and the first team to 7500 points wins. Care packages drop every 15 seconds as long as the zone is occupied. The team with the most members in the zone "owns" the package, but it can be stolen. There is no other air support available in this mode. Pointstreaks are disabled.
There will also be a small update forthcoming that will fix lag and host disadvantage problems.
