New Final Fantasy XIII-2 Vid Introduces the Cast

Square Enix has been unleashing video after video as they count down to the release of Final Fantasy XIII-2 in February of next year, and now there's another one. Instead of focusing on all the pretty landscapes and new combat features, this new video (see it here) focuses on the actual characters within the game. It features returning characters like Lightning, Snow, and Hope and new characters Noel, Serah, and purple-haired bad guy Caius with his gigantic, over-sized sword.

Another thing to look forward to in FF XIII-2 is the "Fight in Style" DLC pack, which allows you to recruit the monster Omega and gives you new costumes for Serah (the Summoner's Garb) and Noel (the Battle Attire).

I've never personally been the biggest Final Fantasy fan, but no one can deny that what we've seen at least looks great visually. Check out the link above to see strangely-dressed teenagers fighting killer tomatoes.

Final Fantasy is crap. On December 15, 2011 (in Japan) or January 31, 2012 (in America), the most over-hyped RPG series of all-time returns with the copy and paste sequel to lackluster Final Fantasy XIII.
