New DmC Vid Shows Gameplay

The latest DmC: Devil May Cry video (see it here) shows more gameplay than ever before. In fact, it's entirely gameplay. There no CG before or after, and no buildup whatsoever. In fact, there's no dialogue; it's all action. It's pretty standard as far as the Devil May cry series goes. In other words, it has Dante beating the crap out of some demons. They keep coming and coming even after he's slaughtered dozens of their brethren - do these guys never learn? I think if I was a demon in this world I'd go around doing something innocuous like untying shoes or something so Dante doesn't show up and beat the crap out of me.

Anyhoo, it does look a tad different. Instead of developing the game in-house, Capcom handed the reins over to Ninja Theory, developers of the hidden gem that was Enslaved: Odyssey to the West. The biggest gripe from the fans has been that Dante looks quite different. He still has that "rock star" look, but now he has dark hair, he's skinnier and rougher looking, and somehow looks a little more...human. It is a diversion from what has come before because it doesn't look like the old Dante got a makeover, it looks like an entirely different person.

What say you? Will you be giving this one a try?

There was nothing stylish or awesome about that gameplay; the game looks slow and clunky.

The combat looks like every other western action game out there (God of War, Dante's Inferno, CV LOS) just with Dante moves.

DmC is just a shallow version of the original series.

People need to keep in mind here that this is a YOUNGER looking Dante. Probably explaining more and having us see how Dante reacts and behaves as he is just discovering his Sparta-like powers. I'm excited about this DMC.
Any money bet that he'll start to look more like the Dante we were all introduce to either in the middle of the gameplay or when we beat the game.

The whole point is to explain how he came to be and how his hair was turned white. All these little nancy boys fill their panties with pudding when they think of the old Dante, and react as if their favorite fashion model got fat.

Do you mean to tell me that most X-Men fans sat through almost the entire first movie pissed because Rouge didn't have a white streak in her hair only to be satisfied at the end of the movie?
