I was honestly stunned when DICE and EA went against the norm and told the big green monster to go shaft itself.   Making something PS3 exclusive has it's advantages...if you have a PS3, but ultimately the game is a fantastic FPS on all platforms. Wait, what's that? We get the next major patch first?

Oh yeah! March 27th. Mark it. DICE has also promised to supply more information on the patches for 360 and PC, soon, although there is no precise release date yet for them. The patch looks to be fairly large and will include a lot of new bits to show off the DICE Engine and what we've been really missing out on in the title.

Most of the guns in BF3 will receive a bit of tweaking and balancing in terms of recoil, damage and a few additional tidbits here and there. Also DICE will be focusing on a laundry list of rule balancing, level fixing and bug squashing for the upcoming patch. Oh and don't forget, you'll soon be able to rent servers for console versions of  the game, so people will be able to crash planes with buddies for a small price on their own terms and in their own place.
