NBA 2K13 Breaks (its own) Records |

NBA 2K is a game that I’ve never played, but have experienced. In the olden days (college), a group of my friends were obsessed with the title and would regularly spend precious study time dunking, fouling, and other basketball verbs as well. The series has seen some hits and misses since then, but it looks like recently released 2K13 is considered one of the good ones.

According to 2K Games, NBA 2K13 moved 49% percent more copies than the old leader, NBA 2K11. It’s a weird way to phrase the figures and indicates low overall totals, but still a win for 2K when it comes to one of their longest-surviving franchises.
Here’s an appropriately PR-ish quote from 2K’s Jason Argent:
“Our early sales figures are a validation of our ongoing efforts to push this franchise to new heights," said 2K Sports vice president of marketing Jason Argent. "We owe it to our great fans to continually improve our title - year in and year out - and that's exactly what we've done with NBA 2K13.”
Anyone pick up 2K13?
