NBA 2K12 set to recreate NBA's greatest rivalries

Now you can play pit fifteen historic NBA teams against each other to relive some of basketball's most memorable rivalries or you recreate a new one with the current superstars in all-new "NBA's Greatest" mode feature of NBA 2K12.

"The NBA 2K franchise has become an essential part of the NBA culture, and our fans can now take control of legendary teams and athletes from the NBA's rich history," said Jason Argent, vice president of marketing for 2K Sports. "With 'NBA's Greatest' mode, NBA 2K12 will allow fans to prove once and for all who are the greatest basketball icons of all time."

By playing the "NBA's Greatest" mode, players can unlock the legendary teams and players for use in the main game, allowing you to create dreamy matchups between historic teams and current NBA franchises. NBA 2K12 is slated on October 4, 2011, for the PlayStation 3, PS2, Xbox 360, Wii, PSP and Windows PC. It will have three separate covers featuring three of the NBA’s greatest players, Michael Jordan, Larry Bird and Magic Johnson.
