Naughty Dog: took "Brutal" development to make Uncharted 3

While I have yet to play Uncharted 3 (or 2, for that matter) I have heard rave reviews from fans and critics alike. I did play the Multiplayer Beta earlier this year and had a lot of fun with it but apparently, like video game analyst, Michael Pachter has said in the past, if you wanna be a game maker, you better be ready for the hard yards.

When asked about the recent development of Uncharted 3, cinematic director Josh Sheer was quoted on the "brutal" working hours he undertook during the game's crunch time, to get it out and ready. Maybe not as brutal as Rockstar but still hard enough. Sheer discusses that the scope of the game and the ambition behind it's developers, including the editing of timing in the cinematics and gameplay, was always toyed with even at the last minute.

Apparently, the ambition has continued overseas as this has been that big a game for Naughty Dog. After a lot of international fans talked to ND about having the game translated, they did so. It has more textual and language translations than any other game Naughty Dog has worked on and they got it all in time for the European release last week.
