Namco Bandai pushes all development to new company |

It seems that Namco Bandai have been spinning out of control despite the already solid releases from the past couple of months and with that spinning, they have spun off with the creatively titled, Namco Bandai Studios. The new studio is actually now a part of all the development duties and responsibilities dealing with all current IP and the generation of new franchises that have been made in the past decade.
The publisher's current studios will create jobs for over 1000 new people in Shinagawa Japan, where the new studio will be formed by Hajime Nakatani. Namco hopes that focusing their development in this way they foster a more creative and efficient environment for free-flowing ideas for games such as Tekken, Soul Calibur, Taiko Drum Master and the Gundam series.
According to recent stats the company has been making a hell of a profit, hence the creation of the new studio as a way of creating new ideas rather than creating a studio as a last ditch effort. While a job is a job is a job, I think somewhere like that will stifle any kind of creativity and will probably not be making any new IP's for Namco. But hey, it's their business and a good round of Tekken can always cheer up a few buddies and I.
