Mouse and Keyboard Confirmed for DUST 514 |

CCP confirmed via tweet earlier this week that DUST 514, its EVE Online first-person shooter, would support keyboard and mouse control schemes on the PS3 console. This means if you have a USB keyboard and mouse sitting around for your PlayStation, you’ll be able to use them as your primary method of control in lieu of the PS3 controller. Duh.

DUST isn’t the first game to support keyboard and mouse controls – Unreal Tournament 3 featured a similar setup. The addition of this control mode should come as a comfort to PC gamers that believe keyboard and mouse inputs are the only true way to play shooting games, and will make it easier to chat back and forth with the other players roaming the world.
DUST 514 is set for release sometime this summer on both PS3 and PC. Since it will feature cross-platform support, it only makes sense that PS3 players have the same control options as PC players.

But Microsoft gave it up after some tests because console pros got owned by average keyboard+mouse users.

It has hardly anything to do with the controller.. IT's the problem of the different hardware enviroment, licences etc. Clear examples is how CoD servers work, one part is dedicated while others are peer-to-peer based depending on platform.

The hole in your argument in DC Universe Online, which is cross-platform.
I guess you forgot about, or aren't aware of, Shadowrun which was also cross-platform. Xbox players were getting beaten handily by PC players in that game.
Your arguments serve only to highlight your woeful lack of hardware knowledge and experience.

And DC Universe kinda contradicts what you are saying, it is NOT cross platform, yes, it is capable of being cross platform, but it isn't because of legal issues, it has nothing to do with what console has thee advantage, in fact, DC Universe is a game where it makes more sense to use a game-pad then it is a M/K

Console pros can go cry in the corner. It takes no skill to use autoaim and analog sticks.
