Apparently Mortal Kombat the game isn't the only thing getting a collector's edition. Even its official game guide is getting one. Amazon has revealed a few details about the differences between the regular game guide and the one marked Kollector's Edition.

As befitting any fighting game guide, the regular edition will include information on all the Fatalities of the game's entire roster. There are also sections detailing advanced strategies such as combos and breakers as well as tactics for playing as and against specific characters. Strategies outlined in the guide cover everything from the single player mode to four-player battles.

The guide also comes with laminated quick-reference cards for all characters. Those who want some backstory to put all the fighting into context can check out the history of all the fighters in the Mortal Kombat franchise.

That's what the regular edition has. The Kollector's Edition will have the same info but it has been supplemented by the following exclusive content:

The game guide -- both the regular and Kollector's Edition -- are now up for pre-order on Amazon. It'll come out on April 19, the same day as Mortal Kombat does.
