Having multiple special editions is all the rage these days, and with God of War: Ascension right around the corner (well, almost) it's about time for some God of War special editions to be unveiled. 

First you have the God of War: Ascension Collector's Edition. It has yet to be announced by Sony, but has been listed by Amazon. It will have the game along with a Steelbook case, an 8" statue of Kratos, a digital soundtrack, a PS3 theme and avatar pack, a Double XP unlock for multiplayer, and an Online Pass for any future DLC that comes out. It's listed for $79.99.

Next up is the God of War Omega Edition, which showed up on German retailer site Playfront. It will have the first two God of War Collections plus God of War III, all in a Steelbook with special artwork, plus the obligatory statue, which will be limited and numbered.

Meanwhile, God of War: Ascension will hit shelves next March.
