Modern Warfare 3 Has Spawn Problems

Look, it’s 2012. Spawn trapping – the act of locking an opposing team into one spawn area and mercilessly camping them – simply shouldn’t be possible in games anymore. Developers, by now, should know how to circumvent this problem. However, the issue seems to have slipped the mind of devs over at Infinity Ward, as evidenced by this video:

In the clip, one MW3 player, with the help of his team, manages to summon a M.O.A.B. in just 48 seconds by peeking over a wall into the enemy spawn and absolutely wrecking the other team as they respawn helplessly. It’s a cheap tactic from any point of view, but the real amazing thing is that it’s even possible in a game that supposed to be one of the best shooters ever made. Tactics like this are supposed to be virtually impossible in this modern FPS world.

This problem is rampant in certain MW3 game modes, and the developers are going to need to find some way to repair it if they want to keep the community happy and engaged. The players in the video aren’t necessarily cheating, so the only recourse is to prevent the problem from happening in the first place.

Your words exactly show that this isnt a 2011/2012 game. Its simply a rehash of an old one done badly. I felt cheated when I paid money for this game.

they never got the respawns right on any of the flag based game modes. not on MW2 or black ops.

furthermore this game is terrible to play online, the graphics are grainy as shit and the actual maps are bollocks. give me a firing range or nuketown anyday...hell even skidrow beats any of the maps on that game.

the only thing IW did right are the weapon proficiencies (its a neat idea), the class based point streaks (makes the game interesting enough) and the fact that theres a hardcore domination mode.

what i don't understand is how there 4 games in and they still haven't added sabotage on the hardcore rotation. at least create the illusion of a team based shooter in sted of an unreal tournament with military skins

thats why I stop playing this game online. first stupid kids getting under the maps for the easy moab, now this. I preffer playing Duke Nukem, huum really not, but men this MW serie multiplayer sucks!

i play a lot of hardcore, and i'm sure it's possible to do this there, though i like to think if i got stuck there i'd be able to kill that guy who was camping on the wall atleast. but that is ridiculous. i hate getting stuck in a crappy spawn and it happens all the time.

1st of all it takes no skill to spawn kill! So this guy is frankly crap! And I agree with others that they should stop release that same broken shit year after year just to make money! Fix the issues before the games release and I bet next years call of duty will have the same problem!
call of duty need to stop yearly releases because shit like this happens......FIX THE BLOODY GAME!

At least every once in awhile I would play a game and rate it based on how long I sat on the bog. They could call me the "Porcelain Punisher"...

For me is news, this way gamers and developers can see, in this case Activision, how many errors their games have, and is really frustrating and annoying for the end user. The worst part is that we had seen this problem on CoD serie year after year. I like a lot the campaign, thats why I buy the games of COD, but damn, when it comes to multiplayet theirs always an issue.

Even though I haven't played Mw3, I noticed the same thing in Blackops, Ok no doubt Nuketown is a small map, but even 1v1 The spawning was pretty repetitive and predictable.

IMO, spawn campers and cheaters are in the same boat. It's too bad game devs do use the technology available to them and take control of the simplier things like spawn points.

xXNiqqa-BoyxX_01 is a cheater on Red Dead Redemption for the Playstation 3. This punk uses a modded PS3 console with an aimbot, a modified controller and several in game glitches. This is also his second PSN account. If anyone knows any of his other usernames let us know so we can expose this cheater. xXNiqqa-BoyxX_01 can usually be found in a posse with a number of known cheaters including svente2010, julytorres, elloko06_ and luigi_gamer. Some of these punks are also know to cheat on Modern Warfare 3.

What a horrible game no spawn protection. Having to zoom in sucks to, thats what a sniper does, so why be the other classes. They need to make games like CS or DOD, I hate games were you walk around on huge maps and get camped.

I agree that Spawn camping sucks real hard. I've been on both ends of it and have quit rounds in bc2, bf3 and blops before because of spawn camping (when i was on the team doing so). I feel it is a cheap win and didn't earn it. I have quit on the other side too, but have also gotten out of those situations before too.

I guess it depends on how you like your punishment that day.

They're making a counter strike for ps3 with online cross platform to pc players I believe.
