Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes - The Big Reveal for the 25th Anniversary |

We knew something was going to be announced at the 25th anniversary celebration of Metal Gear in Tokyo, but I'm not sure anyone saw this coming. Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes is the name of the game and it will be an open-world stealth game.
The FOX engine-run demo was shown off at the event on a current-gen PC, and although it was on lockdown (no tweeting, etc.), some stuff has leaked out since from those who were in attendance.
"Well other people are talking about it so...next Metal Gear shown, and it look F***ing HOT," tweeted one attendee.
Other attendees reported that the demo shown began with a cutscene that blended into gameplay seamlessly. "Snake crawled, avoiding searchlights, killed guard, rode jeep, called in helicopter for evac," another attendee reported. "Sounds like Metal Gear, but the scale & atmosphere...Wow."
It was reported by Famitsu that the demo ended with Snake catching a ride on a helicopter to the tune of Flight of the Valkyries a la Apocalypse Now.
A couple of images from the event leaked as well. See them below.
And to cap all this off, Hideo Kojima also announced on stage that a Metal Gear Solid movie is in the works, produced by Marvel's Avi Arad for Columbia Pictures.
