The idea of "Crews" has been wheeled out for the upcoming Max Payne 3...and subsequent Rockstar titles. The idea is basically what people have been doing for a long time with clans, but crews will be exclusive to Rockstar titles and one would assume that it will be a fairly in-depth experience, somehow.

Dan Houser foresees Clan Feuds and Clan Vendettas that persist over multiple Rockstar games and that Rockstar's Social Club will play a big part. "The beauty of this system is that crews persist over time and across future games. Multiplayer is an ever-more important part of all our games moving forward. And by creating crews through Social Club, the crews that you create in Max Payne 3 will be ready and available for you to play in Grand Theft Auto V from day one," he said.

This sounds great and all, but picturing hordes of these crews running around in GTA V's multiplayer Free Roam is terrifying.
