Madden Franchise Reaches 99 Million Sold |
Listed in: News Tags: EA Sports, Electronic Arts, FIFA, madden 25
It comes as no surprise that the Madden franchise from Electronic Arts is very popular, and the company has confirmed that notion with the announcement that the series has sold 99 million units since its inception.

The 99 million Madden units sold to date have brought in $3.7 billion in net revenue to EA Sports. The franchise will continue on August 27th when Madden 25 is released for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. Why will the upcoming title carry the name of Madden 25 instead of Madden NFL 14? To mark the 25th anniversary of the series.
EA has not released any details on what to expect from Madden 25, but they have said that it will “push the boundaries” and give the series something to build on for the next 25 years.
While Madden has certainly been a successful venture for EA Sports, it’s not the company’s biggest seller. The FIFA series holds that title, as it surpassed 100 million units sold in 2010.
