Europe's White Knight Chronicles 2 can be played without the original

In order to play the Japanese release of White Knight Chronicles 2, you have to have clear saved game data from the first WKC. For the Western release, it looks like you won't have to worry about that little requirement.

The European release will have both White Knight Chronicles 2 and an improved version of the first White Knight Chronicles in a single disc. For those who want to jump straight into the sequel, this version will allow you to play on without completing the first game. Once you run the disc, you will have the option of starting from the first title, or go straight into the sequel.

So far, Level 5 Games hasn't announced the game for North America. The European release, on the other hand, is already slated for Europe this May.
