The Sackboys are finally getting their Move support after months of delay. The sequel to the famed Media Molecule title came out back in January this year.

LittleBigPlanet 2: Move Pack: Rise of the Cakeling, comes out next week, September 14th. It will be bringing in a truckload of new additions to the game, and we're pretty sure it's going to bring in more new gamers to the fold. What they have yet to reveal though is for how much the Move Pack will be.

In the meantime, here are the new items to look forward to in LBP 2: Move Pack:

  • A brand new story for LittleBigPlanet 2 – The Rise of the Cakeling with 14 new levels (5 levels, 7 mini games and 2 cutscenes)
  • A new powerup for Sackboy: The Brane Crane
  • 3 huge new powerful gadgets for use with PlayStation®Move: The Movinator,
  • The Move Recorder, The Paint Tool
  • 4 Interactive Music Tracks
  • 8 Music Sequencer Tracks
  • A new Sound Object containing 32 new sounds
  • 17 new Music Sequencer Instruments
  • A new level background
  • 6 New Costumes
  • 18 Materials
  • 41 Decorations
  • 13 Objects
  • 66 Stickers
  • 39 new LittleBigPlanet Pins
  • 11 brand new PlayStation® Trophies

It's interesting and a nice addition, but I don't have a move and have no intention of getting one, so I might just let this one pass. Does anybody know how much of the new content can be used without a move? I assume the music, costumes, and so on would all be usable with a normal controller, but if the goodies are in prize bubbles in the story levels and you need a move to play the levels, it could mean that the pack is pretty much useless to those of us without moves.
