We all knew that there would be another Final Fantasy XIII. This new one is going to be called Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII and will of course focus on the character of Lightning from the series. This will be not be a continuation of the other FFXIIIs, but a whole new story rather.
In this game, Lightning will find herself with only 13 days left on the Doomsday Clock. She'll be much stronger this time around, will use transforming weapons in battle, and will have a huge wardrobe of costumes with which to play dress-up. The setting will be an island chain called the Navus Partus and she'll need to take a monorail to get around the four islands.
Exploration will also feature large in Lightning Returns and there will be a night and day cycle that will affect NPCs and how you interact with them.
Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII is due out next year sometime. Who's looking forward to this one?
