Kojima: No MGS5 at E3

But the famed Japanese video game developer assured fans that they are planning something big for Metal Gear's 25-year anniversary.

Speaking in the latest episode of the Kojima Productions podcast, Hideo Kojima, creator of the Metal Gear Solid franchise answered several questions with regard to the current status of the series. As translated by Andriasang, Kojima simply responded with a simple "yes" and "no" to a number of questions thrown at him.

Will you appear at the Microsoft E3 press conference? <-- NO
Will you announce Metal Gear Solid 5? <-- NO
Will MGS 3D be released at the end of 2011? <-- YES
Is Doctor Lautrec the new title from the Metal Gear staff? <-- NO (with a laugh)
Did Kojima Productions Not Work on Metal Gear Arcade? <-- YES
Is Gray Fox the main character in MGS Rising? <-- NO
Will MGS Rising's multiplayer be shown? <-- NO
Is MGS Rising's release date November 1, 2011? <-- NO
Will MGS4 be ported to NGP? <-- NO
Are you planning something big for Metal Gear's 25th anniversary next year? <-- YES

Earlier this week, Kojima posted a rather curious tweets on his Twitter account, causing speculation that one of his games may have been canceled. One of his tweets said: "I cannot bear, and cannot be positive. What I prepared minutely spending a year became meaningless."

will MGS5 BE MADE ON THE PS3 THEN PORTED TO THE 360 LETS HOPE SO. AS WE ALL KNOW 360 HARDWARE ISNT NEXTGEN ITS A SMIDGE BETTER THAN THERE LAST SYSTEM THE XBOX. AN IF 360 CANT HANDLE CURTAIN FEATURES,MEMORY ETC... DONT LET US SUFFER THE GAMERS.

ALSO IF YALL BEEN DOIN UR 360 RESEARCH MICROSOFT RUSHED THERE SYSTEMS IT WAS UNFINISHED JUST LIKE ALOT OF GAMES MADE ON THE 360 AN PORTED OUT TO OTHER CONSOLES.

IF U WANT THE BEST MAKE IT ON THE BEST CONSOLES, TIRED OF GIMMICKY STUFF SOUNDS GOOD BUT REALLY ITS JUST GIMMICKY XBL IS GIMMICKY ALL THERE GAMES SUM GOOD ALOT GIMMICKY RUSHED AN UNFINISHED;TALK ING ABOUT THE 360.

YEA 360 HAS ALOT OF GAMES SO WHAT,CAN U SAY OUT OF ALL 360 GAMES 90% OF THEM ARE GOOD JUST BECAUSE SOMETHING HAS MORE DOESNT MEAN ITS BETTER, THATS CALLED GIMMICKY

A SHORT LIST OF 360 EXCLUSIVES AN NOT MULTIPLATFORM GAMES LEFT4DEAD,HALO, GEARS OF WAR, FABLE AN MAYBE 1OR2 MORE THATS NOT ALOT OF GREAT GAMES FOR THE 360 TO HAVE WAY MORE GAMES THAN THE PS3 THATS NOT MUCH AN IM TALKING ABOUT PLAYED GAMES

I UNDERSTAND PEOPLE ARE STILL MAD ABOUT THE DOWNTIME ON THE PS3 SECURITY ISSUES ETC.. BUT HELL NO SITES ONLINE OR COMPANIES ARE SAFE FROM HACKERS. PS3 HAS THE BEST HARDWARE WHEN IT COMES TO CONSOLES.
