If the plethora of other characters in SNK's King of Fighters XIII isn't enough for you, you'll be getting a new option on January 10th, 2012 in the form of Mr. Karate. That's right, he of the Jimmy Durante-nosed mask from a bunch of other fighting games is making his way to the game and there's even a video that's been released giving you a little preview of his move set and how to pull off some of his attacks. There's no word on what it will cost you to download Mr. Karate, but it will probably be the same as some of the other characters Atlus has released as DLC. In other words, 5 bucks (or 400 MSP).

Once again, I am way out of the loop on these fighting games. From what I see, King of Fighters XIII looks just like the fighting games from 20 years ago. What's new with these types of games and should I be getting back into the genre?
