Killzone 3 Double XP Weekend starts today

Black Ops won't be the only one having a Double XP Weekend lined up today on the PS3 as Guerilla Games will also be holding a similar event to welcome back gamers to Killzone 3’s online battlefield.

"To celebrate the return of the PlayStation Network and welcome you back to Killzone 3’s online battlefield, we’ve got a Double XP Weekend lined up," says Victor Zuylen, Killzone Community Editor in a post over at the US PlayStation Blog. "Starting this Friday, May 20 at 17:00 PM UK time, and lasting until Monday, May 23 at 10:00 AM UK time, all XP you earn in Killzone 3’s multiplayer matches will be doubled.

Zuylen notes during the Double XP Weekend, you might encounter that the Score Screen will display the message “Fast Starter Bonus” instead of “Bonus Points” – this is a bug and will be fixed in future Bonus XP events. He also added that there's even more "Killzone-related goodie in the pipeline," but details on that will be announced on a later date.
