Alas Kaz Hirai, we barely knew ye. Scratch that, we knew you all too well.

People have been following Kaz Hirai's comings and goings for a while now, and everyone took note when he moved up to that de-luxe apartment in the sky known as Sony CEO back in April. At that time, many thought that he'd have to leave Sony Computer Entertainment Europe behind to focus on bigger things, and that turned out to be true, though he'll still be involved part-time.

The hope is that Kaz Hirai will be able to breathe new life into Sony, as the PlayStation brand is one of their well-performing lines and everyone's hoping he'll be able to replicate that performance.

In related news, Chairman of the Sony Corporation Howard Stringer has stepped down from his part-time position on the board as well and President of SCE Japan Hiroshi Kawano, among others, has been appointed to said board.

Do you think Hirai can right Sony's ship?

No need to thank me.. At first the articles which where available were about Kaz stepping down from SCEE, but now all articles are about Kaz totally stepping away from the PlayStation brand..

This means I should apologize for misinforming you.. And that your article was correct from the beginning..

Sorry...

Eh, no matter how good someone is, there's always someone else to replace them.

I remember Kaz HiraI himself said something about most of the people on the Sony board know fuck all about the gaming industry but they all have to stick their noses in and force their own bad ideas through, and that's why Sony's in such a mess now because you've got Japan, Europe and American divisions all arguing over decisions, and then different sectors in Sony wanting a say too, and if they don't change I can honestly see Ps4 killing off Playstation.
