Did you take your chance with the last call for beta participants of Journey? If you did, then this bit of news is for you.

Developer thatgamecompany has released patch v2.02 for the said beta, which should get rid of that freezing problem that occurs for those signed up with the PlayStation Network.

The patch also appears to have fixed the right analog stick function, now making it possible for you to rotate the camera. The Y-axis, however, remains to be unable to invert. Maybe, hopefully, thatgamecompany will be sending out another patch in the near future to deal with that particular issue.

A new gameplay video was released earlier this month, further upping the excitement for the release of Journey.

You wander around the dessert supposedly looking for clues as to why an ancient civilisation crumbled into dust. So you walk, skid, fly around looking at the enigmatic scenery solving puzzles and developing new skills. It's also meant to have a different take on online multiplaying, wherein you can play with others but cannot talk to them or even know who they are. You basically bump into unknown strangers that you then adventure with in the purest sense. I'm looking forward to seeing how well that works.

I was fortunate to have a friend get two codes, and gave one to me for the beta. The freeze issue drove me insane! Certain points in the game on a cut scene, I'd have to hard reset the ps3.

For the most part, what you see in the game play video above, is what's in the beta. It's hard to understand at first if you know nothing about the game thou. No text directing you on the way points you have to keep an open eye for a lot of the light beams in the sky.
