Japan to get PS Store restored this week |

After two months of being decommissioned, PlayStation Store will now officially be coming back to Japan this week.

This was confirmed by Sony Computer Entertainment themselves earlier in a press release posted on their Japanese site. The PlayStation Store service should be back to normal service in Japan by July 6th, Wednesday.
As to why it took this long before the PS Store gets back on for the Japanese, Sony did not offer any explanation. As previous reports would have it, however, the Japanese government weren't satisfied that security measures fully met their standards, hence they did not get the green light for the service's return.
North America and Europe, as well as other parts of Asia, had been reunited with the PS Store since June 2. Hong Kong and South Korea then followed suit a few days later. Almost simultaneously, Sony also rolled out their Welcome Back package for their subscribers who got affected by the PSN outage due to the April hack. It was estimated that the company spent some US$ 171 million to get the entire PlayStation Network recovered from the said security breach.
