Is This God of War IV?

Sony has put out a strange image and some text today on their PlayStation Facebook page. Is this teasing God of War IV or something else entirely? It merely says, "Will vengeance bring redemption? 04.19.12."

 

The colors and blood splatter/vengeance motif certainly seem to fit the God of War series and the consensus among fans is that this is indeed pointing towards a new game in that franchise.

 

God of War IV has been hinted at for quite some time now, and there have even been rumors of some sort of co-op mode, much to the chagrin of many no doubt. But at least it won't be competitive multiplayer, I guess/hope.

 

What do you think? Is this God of War IV or something else? Anyone looking forward to the return of Kratos?

yeh ps3 version will be good since they did 2 titles for ps2 and 2 titles for psp, now ps3 needs one more then some for vita :D

Well it is already confirmed that Santa Monica Studios is working on a AAA PS3 exclusive. So I am betting it is God of War...really what else could Santa Monica be making AAA for the PS3?
