2. Stevenson hits back
Recently, at the GDC, Insomniac Games made the official reveal of the online multiplayer mode for Resistance 3. While everyone was excited to finally see what's going to be in store for them in it, not all were too pleased when they found out .

Disappointed fans wasted no time letting the developers know how they feel about the multiplayer mode, with some saying that it's missing that "special sauce" from Resistance: Fall of Man. Given the growing number of complaints, Insomniac Games Community Manager James Stevenson finally stepped in to address the issue at the PlayStation Blog.

"Considering we will have had 3 years cooking special sauce for R3 -- I suggest you play it first, you might be surprised," he said . And he does make a good point, too, considering that the game's not even out and the presentation at the GDC did not faithfully encapsulate everything that can be found in the game.

Stevenson also couldn't help but react to one commenter's statement that the Resistance 3 was disappointing because he could not find much difference between the humans and chimeras from R2 and R3. The commenter then described the latest installment of the franchise as a "magic spell contest as opoposed to a weapon fight."

I think Resistance 2 Multiplayer with up to 60 persons was a blast. I don´t think they should decrease this numer to only 16.

30 would be fine. Well ok new game mechanics as Insomniac promises so lets see. I would buy i´d just for the singleplayer and coop was only 8 players, too I think. Luckily it remains the Online coop.

Hail Resistance and let´s see if their work changing so much pays off or not.

Like the dude from Insomniac said - i haven't played the game. I haven't even seen extended multiplayer gameplay.

All I know is this: Insomniac is a great developer.
I'll trust them until they prove me wrong.
