With the 360 port coming on 3 discs and the PS3 and PC versions apparently going to have 8 gig installations, what can you do when the Rage breaks free next month?
Well to state simply if you own a PS3, you're gonna have a breezy time with just one Blu-Ray disc and an 8GB installation, just pop that sucker in, wait it out, grab yourself some time by reading some news on QJ, leaving comments and may be look at some cute cat videos...however, if you've got a 360, you better have a whole movie about cats. I suggest the 90's classic That Darn Cat.
The 3 DVD's as that's the minimum amount of data and I could snigger at the difference between sizes and be a douche, but simply, it's a different console, service and exclusivity, so fight amongst yourselves. The pain does begin to soften when you realise that id software has worked around the huge 22GB file size with allowing you the option of installing a disc or section at a time, which is quite good if you don't plan on playing it all in one go,
Due to the way the game is actually played, you don't really need to disc swap as you progress through the game, as Disc 1 will have the first section, Disc 2 will have part two and so on and so forth, but as you play, you can actually uninstall the first disc, whilst installing the second disc's content and needn't worry about it taking up too much of your hard drive. In fact, in a fit of insanity, if you had 3 separate hard drives and two consoles, you could install the other discs on the separate drives whilst you played the first one...just an idea...
Now to look and see if That Darn Cat is available on DVD on eBay.

On the PS3, 8Gigs are only the HQ textures, everything else will be loaded from the disc.
