1. Howard Stringer's open letter
2. Delay in information
Necessarily so, he also addressed the "fair question" of why they did not notify their customers sooner than when they actually did. To this, he explains:

ps3"As soon as we discovered the potential scope of the intrusion, we shut down the PlayStation Network and Qriocity services and hired some of the best technical experts in the field to determine what happened.

I wish we could have gotten the answers we needed sooner, but forensic analysis is a complex, time-consuming process. Hackers, after all, do their best to cover their tracks, and it took some time for our experts to find those tracks and begin to identify what personal information had - or had not - been taken.

As a result of what we discovered we notified you of the breach. Our investigation is ongoing, and we are uupgrading our security so that if attacks like this happen again, our defenses will be even stronger."

No, more like the Hackers will find another way around the wall the attack PSN with an iron fist. Or better yet just break it down like the Berlin Wall.

they have to maintain their presence to reassure their customers that they are one with them in this situation. hopefully they'll have some definitive good news soon, though.

I think Sony has underestimated his enemies when they prosecute Geohotz. Now they are receiving the fury from the comunity. I hope they learn.

Actually the only Sony customers suffering here are the ones who have no good single player games or alternative such as pc or xbox 360. Sucks to be you if you have no options but sony's online gaming service for entertainment.
