Creating believable extraneous characters that are going about their everyday lives is something that many sandbox games have sought to do over the years, with varying degrees of success. In Grand Theft Auto IV, for example, we were promised that we would believe that all those pedestrians on the street had complete lives they were living that had nothing to do with the players various exploits. Of course, if you played the game for any length of time you started hearing the same phrases and conversations over and over again.

So it's not an easy feat to accomplish.

Hitman: Absolution, however, claims to have nailed it in this new trailer called "Introducing: Living Breathing World." Here's the blurb for it: "Regardless of what play style you adopt, you will enjoy a unique playthrough experience as you enjoy the rich variation in a living breathing world. A world filled with incredibly intelligent characters all displaying richly detailed synthetic life, where everyone you meet may well have a bigger part to play in Hitman: Absolution."

And you can kill a guy with a toilet plunger. Cool.

Hitman: Absolution will be out November 20th.

Looking forward to this mode. Contracts Mode sounds fun/infuriating.
