Team Bondi’s Brendan McNamara says that Rockstar is considering the implementation of L.A. Noire's fantastic MotionScan facial technology in all of its upcoming games - including the next installment of the Grand Theft Auto series.

"Yeah, I think they're looking at it for every game. As much as L.A. Noire is a huge game, Grand Theft Auto is incredibly huge, so you've got all the problems of how big the cast would be and how many lines would you have to record and all that kind of stuff," he said in an interview with PSM3.

"Obviously we'd like them to, and they're more than welcome to use MotionScan, but if they decide it's not right for that and want to use it for another game, then that's fine too."

He continued: "I think it brings a level of humanity to the experience that means people will - in the first few minutes - start relating to the characters on screen. They don't have to make that decision about 'whether I like this guy' or 'do I actually believe them? - but they can make all the like or dislike decisions based on the actor's performance.

"Rockstar will make those decisions. They generally make the right decisions in terms of what they do for their games."

Although L.A. Noire received rave reviews overall, the relationship between Rockstar and Team Bondi has been called into question lately, following allegations of bad working conditions. Grand Theft Auto V is rumored to be announced later this summer.

I read this elsewhere yesterday.
seems more like, he said it would be good if they use it (which it would) but thats a lot to do for a big game like gta. so we'll have to wait and see.

After all that "bluray isnt needed for games" the xbots used to claim. now its "oh its not like its hard to change discs, Im not lazy" then one gets scratched because your trouser leg brushed the xbox while it was on and then it rrod because you accidentally exhaled hot air to clean the crisp grease on the next disc you decide to play. lmfao

but its okay you have better online, even though no-one can tell the difference unless they've never played a ps3, but you pay for it so its just better. oh no sorry, cross game chat is worth the annual fee because no-one has free mins on the over priced computer phones everybody has nowadays.

Im not a fanboy though, I have everything other than an xbox.

tbh Im just pissed off because I have to wait an extra month for the newest zombies maps on blops while all the underage "gamers" and sheep get it first. opps their it goes again. sorry

You are so full of shit. Fanboys like you are losers. Unless Bill Gates raped your mom, why do you hate Microsoft.

Hey they can do what they want to the graphics i really don't give a crap, just as long as that quest for graphics doesn't make it as boring as GTA IV, i mean i played every GTA before it multiple times and enjoyed the Hell out of them, but that one you had to spend more money on the expansion packs to make it entertaining, but at least most other open world Rockstar games were fun since so got higher hopes this time.ut at least most other open world Rockstar games were fun since so got higher hopes this time.

Agree completely, I used to be involved with gta modding, If anyone here knows anything about that side of gta, they'd probably know my name (if I told what it was, not musev btw lol and Im not telling and only said that coz im six pints down atm ) but gta IV all but killed my love of the game.
I mean its a great game but its not the III era by any stretch.

I seriously hope they fix up (outside the usa would be nice, London)

Honestly, Vice City was my favorite one.. I felt like it had just the right about of humor, enough awesome audio spread out between the stations, a fun and interesting storyline that didn't take itself too too seriously yet was engaging, and i also REALLY liked the fact you could buy places and that it had NO money cheats. Kept the game interesting.

One thing though, I wish GTA just had deathmatches and maybe a king of the hill type thing and nothing else. you have 20 game modes, it's too spread out when people stop playing online =(

Yeah because realism is what this series needed, take a good look at Saints Row 3 Rockstar, it's what GTA IV should have been.
