God of War director joining new game series |

Cory Barlog, a name not too well known but let's just throw a few credits out there.
Backyard Wrestling: Don't Try this at Home
X-Men Next Dimension
Writer for God of War
Writer/Director for God of War 2
and now he can add Tomb Raider to that list.
Yes, the gritty reboot of the classic bouncy Ms. Croft for the 21st century will show off her assets like a gripping backstory and her tight history and will give her depth and emotion and to be honest I think Barlog, who I wrote as Balrog several times before submitting this story, could do it.
Eidos got bought up by Square Enix and Barlog got started with Eidos and Crystal Dynamics is assisting with the next entry in the girl-centric series and also an unannounced new IP. Crystal Dynamics head, Darrel Gallagher explained that "Cory's heritage in building industry-defining action adventure titles (See: Kratos), together with our focus on delivering quality character-driven blockbuster entertainment, makes Cory a tremendously exciting addition to the team."
Barlog's duty was not specific but Gallagher's kind words and the mention of a future IP must be pretty good to have under your belt.
