God Of War Ascension Demo Packaged With Total Recall |

It's no real secret that the Total Recall remake didn't exactly do too hot at the box office. That being said, that doesn't mean that Sony isn't up to using some pretty clever trickery to help get some of those Bluray stacks off the shelves. If you're looking to get your fill of Kratos and the GoW universe on PS3, you're going to have to plunk down that premium price to pick up a mediocre movie. There is a new demo in town, and the unfortunate reality is, Sony has bundled it in with the poorly received film.

As of this very second, starting December 18th, the only way the public will be able to get their hands on a God Of War: Ascension demo is to purchase either the Total Recall director's cut, or the Bluray/DVD combo pack. However, if you were lucky enough to head down to the Electronic Entertainment Expo this year you may want to hold on to your wallet. After all, the upcoming preview will be an exact replica of what you saw on the show floor, so if you've already seen it all, this demo won't offer you anything new.
For those that have been living under a rock, God of War: Ascension is the next in line for Sony's popular exclusive franchise on the PS3. While this particular demo may not show it, it will be the first in the series to include an extensive multiplayer mode that has players picking a unique class of gods to side with as they take down their foes. If you would rather wait for a full release than buy a movie bundle. you can expect the game to hit store shelves on March 12, 2013. However, the gods are beckoning you to invest in Sony Pictures!

Remember when the point of demos was to be a free sample to try to get you interested in buying the full game instead of being held back as a way to try to coax you to buy something you otherwise wouldn't want?
