We already knew about the God of War: Ascension Collector's Edition that will come with a 8" Kratos statue, a digital version of the official soundtrack, a dynamic PS3 theme and avatar pack, a double XP bonus for the game's multiplayer, a steelbook case for the game, and a pass for all future DLC. 

There is also the God of War Omega Edition, which is more of a collection type of thing featuring all the old games plus the Kratos statue.

This new edition, the Special Edition, is like a watered-down version of the Collector's Edition. You get everything from the Collector's Edition except the groovy Kratos statue. No price point has been attached as of yet, but with the Collector's Edition listed for $79.99, expect the Special Edition to be a bit less.

And finally, we have a release date set in stone for God of War: Ascension. It will be out March 12th in North America and 1-3 days later in other parts of the world.
