Square Enix today announced the release of Gex: Deep Cover Gecko on PSN.

Deep Cover Gecko is now available on PSN for £7.99 / €9.99.

GEX makes a digital return in GEX: DEEP COVER GECKO.  As an international secret agent for hire, GEX’s next mission is to find the beautiful Agent Xtra who has been kidnapped by GEX’s arch nemesis, Rez. GEX: DEEP COVER GECKO is full of tongue-in-cheek references to pop culture, television and movies.

Developed by Crystal Dynamics, GEX first found fame on the small screen in the 1990s appearing in a trilogy of adventures on the original PlayStation system. Being voiced by acclaimed actors including Leslie Phillips (GEX 3D: ENTER THE GECKO) and Red Dwarf’s Danny John-Jules (GEX: DEEP COVER GECKO), GEX quickly earned the reputation of a wise-cracking, eccentric gecko, addicted to television and foiling the plans of Rez – overlord of the Media Dimension.

Gex was released on November 16, 1994 for the 3DO, and later the Sega Saturn, PC and Sony PlayStation.

Don't get your facts mixed up.

Pointless - go on eBay and pick it up for a couple of bucks.

No PS1 or 2? The eBay will get you one of those, too, for around $20-30.

It is about time that Sony started (re)selling these games at a much lower price.

You said it's pointless to buy a game that's been out for a while because it's so cheap, yet you are complaining that it took Sony so long to release older games.

Wait a second, square owns these games?

Ah well, I'm glad they decided to release this game and I hope they bring out the rest of the Gex games, god I loved that franchise... another reason why gaming during the 90's was better than it is now...

It's true GEX was released in 1994....... however, Deep Cover Gecko a.k.a Gex3 was not.

It was only on N64 and PSX also.

So it's not new.
