GDC Next Hits Los Angeles in 2013 |

GDC Online, which takes place in Austin this October, is a developer’s conference for the other guys. Rather than focusing on AAA titles and all the other stuff we expect to see at gaming conferences, GDC Online has always targeted online gaming, mobile gaming, social gaming and smaller projects. Now, it appears as though GDC Online is to be no more, replaced by a newer (and hopefully better) idea.
GDC Next, announced this morning by the organizers of the GDC events, will focus on smartphone, tablet, social and cloud gaming (as well as indie projects and a bunch of other stuff). It will co-habitate its convention space with the App Developers Conference, which, naturally, focuses on the best and brightest when it comes to tablet and smartphone app development.
GDC Next and the ADC will take place November 5-7, 2013 at the Los Angeles Convention Center.
