Listed in: News, Games Tags: EA, FIFA, GAMESCom, match play
Do you spend hours upon hours updating your game rosters when developer's are too slow to release a patch? Are you looking for the most true to life gaming experience for everything FIFA? Then you'll be excited to here about a new feature announced by EA called Match Play!

According to the developer, Match Play is essentially a way to incorporate more real-word elements into your gameplay experience through the use of an active internet connection. Basically, anything from the in-game commentary to player stats and team statistics will be updated in real time to reflect what is actually going on within the league. Talk about an absolutely immersive experience! With the use of Match Play, soccer enthusiasts will no longer have to spend time tweaking their own games to stay up to date. From what it seems upon first glance, this new revolutionary feature will have all of that exciting stuff covered for you.
As a player of EA's other sports titles, I can't wait to see what this means for other games to be released in the coming months as well. Moments like these are examples of why I love events like Gamescom: they remind us how far technology has come in such a short time. Don't ask me exactly how this feature is going to work, but if it does as advertised, Match Play could revolutionize the sporting genre (and possibly even other genres) as we know them.
