Finish Your Games or Tore Blystad will Cry |

Did you know that the great majority of gamers never actually finish most of the games they play? It’s true—for every 101% Donkey Kong Country save file you’ve got under your belt, how many third-level quits are there? How many heroes left somewhere between the beginning and end of their adventures?

Leaving games unfinished is just something gamers do. Tore Blystad, director of Hitman: Absolution, estimates that only around 20% of gamers actually play a game from start to finish. And you know what, guys? It really hurts his feelings:
“It’s horrible to know. It makes the people working on it really really sad. The general player will probably never even finish the game, which is very sad. Or they might only play through it once, but the game is built for the people who want to go back through every single level and get all the stuff out of it. It’s built to last, rather than be a one-off experience.”
While some may take issue with Blystad’s 20% figure, it’s no secret that tons of games go unfinished. What Blystad is overlooking, of course, is that games usually go unfinished because they just aren’t that interesting to the player.
Perhaps Blystad and Co. should stop crying and focus on making games people actually want to play.

Funny enough though I have beat Lost & Damned and The Ballad of Gay Tony.
I also haven't played San Andreas all the way through, but that's because I didn't like it.
Final Fantasy X I got stuck at the end and just said, "fuck it."
I would play it again if they released it on PSN.
Metal Gear Solid 1 & Peace Walker
I can't really think of anything else.

I used to finish games in a couple days and looked for all of the secrets, but now most of the more recent games(like CoD) are uninteresting, irritating, and just plain out aren't "built to last" more than a year.
Also, there is some people who just can't enjoy certain games(genres).
I'm glad that there is still people in the game industry out there who care about people enjoying and finishing their games though.
