Months of rumors and anticipation came to an end with the official announcement for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim: Dawnguard. The reveal, followed quickly by a story-driven trailer, didn’t provide much in the way of details. All we knew is that Dawnguard had something to do with vampires and other malarkey.

Well, if you’ve been waiting for Bethesda to bring the full Monty, the time has come. We’re happy to present Dawnguard’s full features list, courtesy of IGN:
Gameplay Details:
You will, of course, be able to become a vampire. In fact, the entire expansion revolves around either being a vampire, or killing every vampire in sight. Players can choose to work with either the Dawnguard (vampire slayers) or vampires. The expansion is expected to add between 10 and 20 hours of new content.
Vampire Perks:
- Both vampires and werewolves have new Perk trees
- 50% health and magicka bonus
- Transform into winged Vampire Lord
- Werewolves can go back to human, then to vampire, then back again
- New powers for vampires: throwing enemies, gargoyle summons and paralysis
Dawnguard Perks:
- Crossbow specialization
- Blacksmithing recipes
- Armored troll summon
General Additions:
- New enemies
- New weapons
- New flaming mount
- New Dragon Shout (soul steal)
If you’re curious to try Dawnguard, you can jump into the Xbox closed beta. Those selected to test will receive the DLC pack free of charge. Otherwise, you’ll have to pay 1600 MS Points for the DLC when it launches on June 26. If everything goes well, PC and PS3 releases will come about a month later.

It felt like even though it had good gameplay, it had less depth in it's stats, unique weapons/armor/items, art design, and overall atmosphere than it's predecessors and was missing things that should have already been in it.
At least they're trying to improve it through patches and DLC(that isn't just a small addition) though.
