Epic Launching New Unreal 4 Studio |
Listed in: News Tags: Epic Games, Gears of War, infinity blade, unreal engine 4
I know how much the readers of this site love industry news that has nothing to do with homebrew games or AAA titles, but tough shit—it’s a slow news day. So here’s this: Epic Games, the maker of Infinity Blade and Gears of War, has just announced a Seattle-based studio that will focus entirely on development of Unreal Engine 4.

And hey, if you’re good at this type of stuff, Epic is hiring: they need programmers and support help for their established team of engineers. Especially “senior-level” talent. That’s you, right?
Anyway, here’s a quote from the press release:
"The proximity to key partners, the density of world-class talent and all the factors that make Seattle an attractive place to live convinced us that it is the perfect locale for Epic's West Coast operation. We are looking to hire even more of the best engineers around to contribute to Unreal Engine 4, which we believe is set to change the way we all make games."
So there you have it. If you live in or near Seattle, get to resume’ing.
