Konami and 4mm made a game that virtually nobody played 2 years ago in the form of Def Jam Rapstar. Now they're getting sued by EMI because htey apparently failed to secure the rights to songs owned by EMI. Uh-oh.

EMI is looking for $150,000 in damages for every single song in Rapstar. At 54 songs, that puts the bill at roughly $8 million. Oops.

But wait, there's more! EMI wants a cut of the game's profits and all future sales of the game, which should be about nil. This game has been out for quite a while and never did well. People have been seeing this game on shelves for literally $5 or less.

EMI claims that they warned the developers of this issue long ago, but that they were ignored. This is what they call a "teachable moment."

Have any of you guys out there played this?

Sue them for making Silent Hill HD sound and look horrible compared to the originals!

Yes I have played it. People all over have. And it's upsetting because of all these sing-songy crap games, can we finally get one good hip-hop lyrics game? It seemed so. Now they get sued and make the DLC not available now, which had all the good songs on it. Great, now we'll never see another hip-hop game. BS.
