Don't you just love EA Games? The way they have a real finity with their fans and how honest they are, well it seems they're about to be taken to court because they did not give free copies of Battlefield 3 to PS3 gamers.

Not only were they getting DLC before the 360 users, they were meant to also get Battlefield 1943 and they have not recieved it at all. I completely forgot that this was the case when I ordered the game a while ago. I thought it was meant to be a part of the special edition of Bad Company 2, but then I was informed that they just released the Vietnam DLC, which is totally different, like three decades difference.

The firm Edelson McGuire has put forth a class action lawsuit against EA Games on behalf of the PS3 players as EA not only backpedalled on their offer but they also made the announcement so late into the production and post-purchasing of the game with the subtlety of a kitten in a jungle. While there was an official press release, it was not sent to many companies and had a minor announcement on Twitter.

In Edelson McGuire's words, EA "misled" and then "profitted" from the customers who bought the game and then did not deliver on the promise they made and "never intended" to actually keep.

The firm says those who were a part of looking forward to the free copy of BF1943 was the promise and EA is more than libel on their situation. I actually totally forgot this when I bought BF3, I even bought the goddamn Limited Edition because I was a fan of BF2 back in the day. But we'll see how this turns out in the future and QJ will keep you posted.

Harrison E you are one of those douchebag COD/Activision fangirls so your little rants belittling EA or Battlefield hardly makes any difference to real gamers. Yes EA can be a prick sometimes but still pales in comparison to those pricks at Activision and their valiant leader Kodick. Battlefield 3 kicked Campers on Duty Modern Whorefare 3's ass. PERIOD.

P.S. Just out of curiosity..E stands for Eve or Emily? I mean is it Eve Harrison or Emily Harrison?

Actually I prefer Activision myself over EA for one reason alone. They're not using the bulls**t network pass on their games. yet.

That said, all the big companies that once were decent have turned into greedy asshats anyway so I hate them all. But I still buy their games!

I want a t-shirt or something if I buy a new game. I don't want a downloadable game that I already bought last year. I'm happy we didn't get BF1943 with BF3.

They may have verbally announced it at E3, but there is no writing or advertising anywhere saying you'll get BF1943 if you buy BF3.
This case has no grounds and will surly be tossed.

last i checked this was already posted about about a week ago. also to add that "in replacement of BF1943 the ps3 would have all DLC exclusively 1 week before other platforms" but considering i already purchased 1943 for the xbox and ps3 (xbox live silver/gold was a bad idea) and BF3 for PC (less issues than that of the xbox version and better gfx) i see no point in arguing with EA on something that hasn't been fully advertised.

Silver/Gold was a bad idea? Just wait till the new home PlayStation console comes and you have to pay to play online.

Servers have costs, FYI.

stupid damn company, I still dont believe how you guys still buy games from them. They dont give a f* about the consumers and their product is mediocre. If you have any good sense just stop buying their crap.

You have to roll your eyes at the usual muppets who try to deflect from the facts. EA, in announcing that customers who purchased BF3 would get another product for free, entered into a binding verbal contract. So it doesn't matter if YOU don't care. They have to deliver what they promised, or a reasonable make-good replacement.

Giving customers a head-start on DLC that they pay for isn't a make-good replacement. It is actually an added cost, thereby nullifying their entire argument about what they replaced the original promise with.

This case will be so quickly settled it's not even funny. EA knows they have no leg to stand on here.
