Sony has unveiled its first ever PlayStation branded television at E3.
Announced during its press briefing earlier this week, the brand new PlayStation branded 3D display features a 24” LCD screen with full HD 1080p 3D presentation that is designed to give PS3 users an easy and affordable access to stereoscopic 3D entertainment.
The 3D Display is "uniquely enhanced for gaming with a special two-player feature, offering best-in-class visuals in both 2D and 3D," notes John Koller, Director of Hardware Marketing. "The 3D Display utilizes an exclusive feature that optimizes two-player mode by delivering individual full HD screens, giving each person their own full screen view of the action on the same display while playing co-op or head-to-head. With an ultra-slim PlayStation inspired bezel design and built-in speakers and subwoofer, the 3D Display is big on image quality and sound and delivers all of your HD media simply by connecting to PS3, PC or cable TV box. It’s perfect for bedrooms, dorm rooms or wherever you want to play the best 3D console games."
Slated to arrive this fall, it will come bundled with 3D glasses, an HDMI cable and a copy of Resistance 3 for a suggested retail price (MSRP) of US$ 499.99. The 3D Glasses will also be sold separately for MSRP of US$ 69.99. Aside from the PlayStation branded 3D-TV, Sony also revealed a slew of softwares and the long awaited PSP successor, the PlayStation Vita, as well as the PS3 keyboard, at their E3 press con.

Not a terribly unreasonable price, but its a shrimp.
I'd probably still choose twice the screen without 3d for the same price.
(Its probably a good size for putting in the bathroom or something.)

That is Awesome.
Like those perspective pictures that have a face smiling from one angle and frowning from another.
I think they just out differentied Nintendo with that one.
Although, me being the pessimist and all, I think they would have made a bigger deal of that if it really worked all that well.
I'd like to see it working.
