Dungeon Siege III delayed

Fans of the classic action-RPG franchise will have to wait a bit before they can get their hands on Obsidian's latest title.

Square Enix has announced today that Dungeon Siege III, the next incarnation of the Dungeon Siege series, which was originally slated to come out on May 29th of this year, has been pushed back to June 21st.

"Square Enix is committed to delivering the ultimate Dungeon Siege experience," says Mike Fischer, president and CEO of Square Enix, Inc. "Although the final polish phase has demanded a bit more time than originally planned, we want to assure fans and followers that the additional effort will allow us to deliver an action-RPG worthy of its rich heritage."

Dungeon Siege III features a an intuitive action gameplay, with a robust RPG system featuring a large selection of abilities, an extensive multiplayer component and the depth of story created by Square Enix and Obsidian Entertainment. The game is being developed for the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC.
