Duke Nukem Ad banned in the UK |

When I'm writing a stroy or when I find a story I always feel weird about what the title may be, I'm often told to make the story sound as intriguing as possible and often will lead to my journalistic intregrity stabbing me in the guts and saying no, you can't do this, you can't miselead "the people". so here's the truth. The Duke Nukem Ad below was not banned in the UK, but was moved to an alternate time slot which will be explained below.
So even though the game has been out for a quarter of the year, this story only really rose up recently because apparently the ads have been running in a 7-8 timeslot. After receiving 34 complaints that the ad was "sexist, violent and overly explicit and included imagery which was likely to harm children and vulnerable people." which after watching that ad and then giving myself a few minutes, I could not agree more. It's way too much and it's for a different audience, entirely...even if that audience is "immature".
The ASA finally said enough is enough and moved the ad to a later timeslot claiming, "the sexual imagery and content in the strip club scenes were overly explicit for broadcast" prior to 11 pm. So yeah not banned...just appropritely placed into a timesot. Duke Nukem ad in appropriate timeslot is not a great headline. Would you even be reading this if that was the case?
